day 2--slappin' down some concrete

Honestly, today we put wet concrete down everywhere.  It might have been a wall or a floor, but we mixed so much concrete.  More tomorrow. We planned, decorated and set up for VBS too. Some of the girls re-painted a few murals. Also, tonight, the boys taught about 15 young men from the verse 1st Timothy 4:8, it says, “Physical exercise has some value, but godliness is valuable in every way. So train yourselves for godliness for it has promise for this life and the life to come." We taught them a simple bodyweight workout and then talked about growing in godliness.  Ben talked about Bible reading, Wenton prayer, and Caleb obedience.  Brett shared the gospel.  The boys did a great job.  Of course we ended the workout lifting spoons full of ice cream to our mouths. As the boys did the workout night, the ladies went out for Ice cream. I kept this short so you could look at some pics. https://photos.app.goo.gl/W1gGCJFNmHES2MoL9

Anyway, we woke up sometime on Wednesday around 6 or 7 am and then ate a wonderful breakfast at the hotel (rice and beans, eggs, bacon, cheese, a few got a waffle etc...) We were awakened also to the beautiful Central American sunshine that just hits different (and burns different) than the sun in Ohio.  We headed out to the church, La Vina, for an orientation and walk around the community.  Th...
